A moment, or a whole workflow
Start Free with one video and up to 12 JPG or PNG images. Free includes auto extraction, manual capture and first/last frame shortcuts in one workspace. Pro brings multiple videos, assisted image review, contact sheets and reusable projects together. Pro is currently a sample-only preview; purchases and own-video Pro access are not open. Compare the plans.
The emphasis is on useful results: a small selection rather than an accidental folder of thousands, filenames with time references, and a preview before a larger export.
Your device does the work
Video parsing, frame decoding, image encoding, and ZIP generation happen in your browser. There is no video upload service, account system, or server conversion fallback in this release. The sample is a site-provided file downloaded when you choose to try it.
Built with open source
ClipStills uses Mediabunny for media reading and zip.js for ZIP exports, alongside Astro, React, and Lucide. Those projects make a small, focused toolkit possible. Our open-source page contains the licenses and source links.
Useful, with clear limits
Browser support varies by file codec, operating system, and device. Large image exports also need memory. The compatibility page explains the current targets and safeguards, and the guides help you choose a practical workflow.
