Your source material

Only process files you have the right to use. Extracting a frame does not grant copyright, permission to publish, or rights to a person’s likeness. You remain responsible for your source files and the way you use exported pictures.

ClipStills does not claim ownership of your videos or generated exports. The application does not provide a hosting or sharing service for those files.

Results and compatibility

The tool is provided as available. Browser decoding, color conversion, file structure, device resources, and export settings can affect the result. Check exported images before using them for a deliverable or relying on exact visual or timing details.

Do not use this tool as your sole copy of important media. Keep your original source and use a suitable professional workflow when verified frame identity, color accuracy, or preservation requirements are essential.

Local resource use

Large jobs can consume memory, processor time, battery, and storage on your device. Safeguards limit some operations, but cannot guarantee that every file will complete on every device. Reduce the range, count, or output dimensions if a job fails.

Free and Pro access

Free supports one video, up to 12 images, and JPG or PNG image and ZIP exports. Pro workflows are available to explore with site-provided sample videos only. Pro purchases and processing your own videos with Pro are not available yet. The plans page explains the current boundaries. Existing project and draft backups remain readable; larger previous reviews can be restored in recovery mode for export.

Any future paid offer will state its included features, price, payment schedule, and purchase and refund terms before checkout. The current plans page is an introduction to proposed workflows and does not take a payment or activate a license.

Software and third-party components

Open-source components retain their respective licenses and notices. Those terms govern the relevant components; this page does not replace them. See the open-source licenses for source and license links.

Availability and changes

Features and safeguards may change as browser support and the application evolve. The compatibility page describes the current release scope, and the changelog records material application changes. Nothing on this page limits rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
